Ayhan Çakmur

Ayhan Çakmur is an art historian, researcher and professional tourist guide with more than 35 years of field experience. His tourism career started unexpectedly with a phone call from the Gürkay Marmara agency while he was working at Galatasaray High School; He went on his first tour in the Aegean region in just a few days, and then passed the Ministry exams and became a certified guide. He has devoted nearly 20 years of his career to the Aegean and ancient Greek civilizations, and recently has focused mainly on the cultural heritage of Göbeklitepe and Eastern Anatolia.

It uses its art history background as a depth tool in interpreting archaeological and cultural fields. Together with Tadlem Turizm, it organizes cultural tours named after itself; These include "Royal Cities of Morocco Tour with Ayhan Çakmur", "Hatay Tour with Ayhan Çakmur" and "Göbeklitepe Tour with Ayhan Çakmur". He argues that Türkiye's greatest tourism potential is hidden in the yet undiscovered Eastern regions and highlights the İshakpaşa Palace-Van Lake-Kars triangle.

He shares his knowledge in the fields of art history, archeology and history of religions with large audiences; He has been a guest on television programs such as "Ne Var Ne Yok" and produces art history, archeology and alternative history content on YouTube and Instagram. He uses German at a professional level and continues his studies based in Istanbul.
